The Concept Search Process
Executive search and selection is a specialized management consulting
discipline in which the main objective is the identification and recruitment of
individuals possessing the specific knowledge, expertise and personality
required by the client. In identifying these candidates, Concept concentrates
on successfully employed individuals that may otherwise not be attentive to a
new opportunity. Before an assignment is initiated, we consult in detail with
the client to develop a clear understanding of the organization as well as the
specific requirements for the position. We believe that all companies are
defined by three major dynamics: philosophy, management style and culture. We
analyze these dynamics thoroughly and then identify candidates that fit these
criteria.
Philosophy, Management Style and Culture
The complete search takes time and involves a five-step process: research,
sourcing, screening, interviewing, and presentation. Research begins
immediately after the contract is executed. It is our intention to present
highly qualified candidates to the client for review within three weeks.
Concept efficiency ensures that the entire recruitment process will be handled
in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
Candidate Presentations and Client Interviews
An individual that emerges from the interview process with the appropriate
qualifications is introduced to the client through a candidate profile. This
report presents information about the candidate's current position, career
experience, accomplishments, and personal background. Interviews are then
scheduled between the client and candidate.
Checking References and Backgrounds
When the client and the final candidate express a strong interest in working
together, we contact individuals qualified to comment in depth about the
candidate. A report detailing the collective comments is presented to the
client for consideration.
Presentation of an Offer
Typically, we provide recommendations to our client on the structure of the
compensation package that would attract their finalist. Although the recruiting
process is complete when an offer is accepted, Concept stays in touch with the
client and the newly hired executive to provide assistance and support during
the initial stages of employment.
