Concept launched its Biotech Practice in 1998 by staffing the biotechnology division of a global food ingredients company.   From there, the Practice expanded across the various industries that utilize the science of biotechnology.  The Practice specializes in the recruitment of research, process development, and manufacturing professionals.  We have a diverse North American client base and a well developed network with reach into Europe.

Clients range in size from incubators and/or venture backed start-ups to Fortune 500 companies and focus in these markets: human therapeutics, industrial biotechnology, biofuels, specialty chemicals, and food ingredients/nutrition.

The Biotech Practice’s network, expertise, and search activity are concentrated in these specialized technical areas: metabolic engineering, medicinal chemistry, strain development, microbial fermentation, mammalian cell culture, process chemistry, product recovery and purification, formulations, drug delivery, analytical methods, and molecule characterization.

The Practice continues to complete searches for key scientific, engineering, and executive management positions and has been successful in building out client organizations from the ground up.
